New Products |
New Econostitch 66 & 5445 |
Econostitch is our most economic nylon peel ply with red tracers that make it more visible before and after a cure,
reducing the possibility of the peel ply being left on the part. To better serve our customers, we’ve added Econostitch 66 & 5445.
The NEW Econostitch 66 is a heat set and scoured peel ply that is similar to our standard Econostitch with the added
benefit of being made from nylon 6,6. The nylon 6,6 provides improved strength with improved removal characteristics.
The NEW Econostitch 5445 is also heat set and scoured nylon peel ply. It has a tighter weave and is designed for
improved release characteristics, making it easier to peel off than our other economy grade, non-coated peel plies.

Wide Films Available |
Securlon® L-500Y is a wide and high temperature, economical vacuum bagging film. Also, it’s a multi-layer extruded
film providing multiple layers of safety. These layers reduce the concerns for "pinholes", weak spots, brittleness
and inconsistency of films. L-500Y is strong, has a high elongation and is suitable for cure temperatures up to 340°F (171°C).
Wide widths available up to 12 meters.
Ipplon® KM1300 is a soft vacuum bagging film with good elongation and is suitable for cure temperatures up to 414°F
(212°C). It is recommended for bagging applications where a higher softness is required. An excellent film for
autoclave use or resin infusion. Wide widths in excess of 220" available, final dimensions will be available at a
later date.
Big Blue® L-100 vacuum bag is a multi-layer film for applications where a wide film is required. It's suitable for
resin infusion and wet lay-up where the cure temperature does not exceed 250°F (121°C). It's available up to 12
meters.

Airtech Europe Expands Production Capabilities |
Our Luxembourg division, Airtech Europe, continues to develop and enhance its products and services to help
composite part manufacturers to reduce their production costs.
The 8000 m2 (86,000 ft2) expansion of the existing Luxembourg facility will accommodate more warehouse space
and production equipment, including a separate area dedicated to custom engineered products.
The new kit line will greatly increase the capacity and capability of producing vacuum bagging materials in
customer-specified shapes. Kitted materials help composite part manufacturers by reducing production time,
eliminating waste and controlling cost.
|
Airtech Europe had already added new office space in July 2007 in order to dedicate more manufacturing space to
value added services and new products in the existing building. Nevertheless, the continuous growth of the
composite market has made more important changes necessary for the plant.
Thanks to the doubling of the size of
the Airtech Europe plant, customers will benefit from a larger range of services. The expansion is a major
milestone in corporate site development strategy.
